Reassessing the provisional resourcing roll at the beginning of the school year. (Primary Schools)

Have you more children enrolled at the beginning of this year than your provisional resourcing roll, or have you more at the junior end of the school which should generate more staffing?

This extract from the Funding Staffing and Allowances Handbook might help you decide whether to call your staffing officer now rather than wait for the March Confirmation which has no New Entrant Adjustment for Primary Schools unless you are successful with a request to John Clark after the Confirmation process.  (It used to appear in the printed version of the handbook but I cannot find it in the online version, nor can I find any reference to it having being deleted/changed for any reason since the 2008 print run.)

“Note: Where the actual roll of a primary school at the beginning of the new year differs, either in total or at individual year levels, from the number(s) predicted in the provisional resourcing roll, and the changed roll generates an increase in staffing, the school’s provisional resourcing roll may be reassessed.  Data provided by the board through ENROL will be used by the ministry to make this comparison”.
